“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.” –Psalm 23:1-2
All Saints' Day
Sunday, November 1st, 2015, is All Saints' Day, a day Emmanuel takes time to remember and honor all those we have known who have passed away in the last twelve months. Please bring a framed photo of your loved one to the service. Someone will assist you in placing it near the altar area. You may retrieve the photo after the service. If you don't have a photo, you may still place their name in the list of names that will be read during the service. Stars will be made and hung for every name. This will be done at both the 8:30 a.m. service and the 10:30 a.m. service. Additionally at the 10:30 a.m. service, a candle will be lighted as each name is read.
All are welcome to join us at these special services, so Emmanuel members are encouraged to invite their family members and friends, especially those who also have loved ones who have passed away in this last year. Of course we will also honor them.
